Every Friday afternoon, just before After School begins, all students and teachers gather for what we call Community Meeting. Through song, recitation, and class presentations, Community Meeting provides an opportunity to assemble as a whole school and reaffirm the important values that connect us. To the delight of all in attendance, the Kindergarten class shared a poem at our September 21 meeting entitled “Keep a Poem in Your Pocket” by Beatrice Schenk de Regniers. Keep a poem in your pocket
The little poem will sing to you

During the September 21st Community Meeting, first grader Sena Houessou-Adin accepted the challenge of trying to name every student and adult present … and, with the utmost poise and confidence, she did it! She was the first person to correctly identify everyone by name. Congratulations to Sena for successfully completing the challenge! |
